The kitchen/dining room is combined. There is a large dining table and double glass doors open directly onto the courtyard bringing the outdoors inside. Location
The apartment is in the heart of the small town of San Foca and is just 50 meters from the gorgeous Adriatic coast. The town has many good restaurants and a busy marina.
The peaceful town of Melendugno (10 minutes) makes a lovely day out. There are some interesting churches, as well as a 12th-century abbey, a small castle and several excellent restaurants. The weekly market (Wednesday) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home.
Further afield is Lecce (30 minutes), the “Florence of the South”. It is blessed with wonderful Baroque architecture as well as Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its wonderful regional food and good shopping.
To get into nature the WWF nature reserve of Le Cesine is just 2 minutes from the villa. Or for golfers, there are 2 golf clubs near the town of Acaya (15 minutes)
The closest airport is at Brindisi - just an hour away by car.
