Villa Calipso is an amazing villa with a panoramic view on the bay of Santa Maria di Leuca, surrounded by the typical landscape of Salento, Mediterranean shrub and emerging rocks.
The outdoor area of the villa, overlooking the sea, is split on several terraces, whereas the indoor is divided in 2 levels, each with an independent access from outside (given there is no inner staircase from one to another). The interior décor is smart and features precious flooring throughout, so that the overall environment is very bright and airy.
Upper floor: spacious living/dining room with wide window overlooking the sea, furnished with sofas and 8/10-seat dining table; from here one can exit on to a beautiful shaded and sea-view terrace, equipped with garden sofas and 6/8-seat table; going back inside in the living room, one goes, on one side, to the fully-fitted kitchen with pantry/laundry room, and on the other to the sleeping area; here a corridor serves 3 bedrooms, of which 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with bathtub) and 2 twin bedrooms (one of which with an additional single bed) sharing the shower room accessible from the corridor. Lastly, both from the living and from the kitchen, one can exit onto another covered verandah on the rear of the house, also provided with 8/10-seat dining table.
Going down the outdoor stone staircase, walking across a vast sea-view terrace, one gets to the lower level: a small living room with sofas makes way to the 3 bedrooms, one of which is a big twin bedroom with 2 queen-size beds (2mt*1,40mt) and an en-suite shower room, 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and another double bedroom using a shower room accessible from the corridor. N.B.: the twin bedroom with the 2 queen-size beds and one of the double bedrooms are more on the inside part of the building, so that they receive natural light only through some vasistas windows placed in the living room; in a similar way, the respective shower rooms have no windows and are provided with ventilation system.
Outdoor, there are various sea-view sitting corners and the two vast terraces on the upper level, shaded and equipped with garden furniture.
The villa itself is not fenced off, but it is located in a vast private property that is enclosed and comprises other independent villas, well distant to one-another for maximum privacy, guaranteed also by the natural pattern of the landscape made of several terraces overlooking the bay of Santa Maria di Leuca.
The weekly price includes: bed&bathroom linen; housekeeping service for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week; water, gas and electricity utility charges (the latter only up to 150 kWh; overconsumption will be calculated based at € 0.50 per kWh). Not included and to be settled upon arrival: tourist tax. No smoking inside. Damages deposit, 1,500.00 €.
Please know that, as provided by the law, a € 1.00 tourist tax is due per person per day up to 10 consecutive days, from July 01st to August 31st. Exempt: children under 12 y.o.; disabled people; children under 18 y.o. in families with 3+ children, staying all in the same property.
