Positive: The room was spotless, and well presented. The furnishings were carefully chosen, and the room tastefully decorated. It is a studio rather than an apartment, but it was fine for one person or a couple. The kitchen area was sufficiently equipped, and the bathroom supplied with a selection of toiletries. The owner, Isabel, had clearly gone to a lot of effort to make the room comfortable and relaxing for guests. The host was very willing to provide information and suggestions of places to visit, and this was very much appreciated.

Negative: 1. The fact that the property was listed as offering a free airport shuttle. Not only was this not the case, but no pick up could be arranged from the airport, even at a price. I was repeatedly told that I had 'misunderstood' and had 'made a mistake' despite the page clearly showing the service was offered. As an older woman travelling alone, I had booked the room precisely because the service was listed. It was this that 'swung' my decision to book the room. I was anxious travelling alone and unassisted with my luggage. Had I known the service was not offered, I would have chosen a different location, as Molfetta was not my first choice for my holiday. To then be told I was 'wrong', repeatedly, was disconcerting and caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. The page is still showing that the airport shuttle service is offered. I strongly suggest that the page is amended so that other travellers are not equally misled. The return trip to the airport was arranged via the owner, and I was grateful for her intervention in sorting this out, but the person who provided the service refused to give me a receipt. This is not acceptable. 2. My second criticism is that when I asked to store my luggage until 2.30 pm (check out 10.00 sharp) I was told this was "not possible". In the end, the owner relented, but one doesn't expect to argue about these things. In my decades of travelling, I have never encountered this. Even if the luggage cannot be stored in the room itself, it is standard practice to offer clients somewhere to store their luggage until they need to depart. 3. I wasn't happy that the door to the studio opened up directly onto the street, and it was noisy when traffic passed. However, this was a minor concern, as it was not a particularly busy road. That said, I think this aspect should be made evident in the listing.

Summary: Good room, well funished and equipped, and just a short walk to the port.
