Positive: The breakfast was quite plain and nothing special. Since I have celiac disease, the options were very limited, though they did make me a good omelette. Overall, it was very standard. The ladies working in the breakfast area were very kind, but they didn’t speak English. The room was beautiful, but quite dark. The garden area was also very lovely, though unfortunately the weather wasn’t on my side, so I couldn’t really spend time there. Since it was raining, eating outside was difficult as there were no covered areas. Thankfully, there was one dry table available, and I was lucky that a kind couple from Australia invited me to join them.

Negative: When I first read about this hotel, I was in awe, but something about my intuition felt a little off. I had tried reaching out beforehand with questions about transportation and other details, but I never received a reply. When I arrived, they simply opened the front door and let me into the garden area. It was quite dark, it was raining, and I hadn’t been given any information about which room was mine. I wandered around in the dark, trying to find someone, but there was no reception or clear instructions. After about 10 minutes, I ended up calling the hotel, and they told me they had sent the information by email — but I never received it. Later, during breakfast with the Australian couple, I learned they had experienced the same thing. Overall, it was an unpleasant welcome, and I didn’t feel very well received. The breakfast, too, was just so-so.

Summary: Overall, it was okay, but not a place I would choose to return to.
