The Antico Casale is studied in detail: the windows become paintings created by Maria, the kitchenette is set in the old stone and earth wall, left exposed by the owners to revive the atmosphere of the past, a ancient pile in Lecce stone, used as a manger, becomes a sink. The objects of peasant life used and patinated by time by the grandparents of the owners, become modules of artistic craftsmanship presented on the walls as large contemporary installations. Where the ancient enters the modern and the modern pierces the past thus giving a warm, welcoming, fresh and familiar atmosphere. And for fun, the jamb of an ancient door acts as a headboard for a bed, and an old bascule furnishes the master bedroom. The Antico Casale has large outdoor areas for eating in contact with nature.
